Once again Catima Sailing Ltd will use “Candi” our luxury Bavaria 46 for the Classic Malts Cruise. This is a fantastic opportunity to participate in this event and enjoy the beautiful scenery, visit the Scottish islands, enjoy Scottish hospitality and excellent food. This year we can offer clients the opportunity to take part in the full event or part of our cruising itineraryThe dates are as follows.
Cruise the West Coast from Largs
5th July to 9th July 2009 – 5 Days
Join the yacht at Largs Yacht Haven on 5th July 2009 and cruise round the Mull of Kintyre (weather permitting) and enroute visit the Isle of Arran, Campbeltown, the Isle of Gigha, and Ardfern. This cruise is ideal for those who wish to explore the Scottish Islands and for others who wish to gain additional sailing experience.
The cost is £400 per person and this is inclusive of all breakfasts, lunches, 4 evening meals, teas/coffees, soft drinks, snacks. Quality wet weather gear is also provided.
Classic Malts Cruise – First Leg
Oban to Talisker, Skye and return to Oban. 11.7.09 to 19.7.09. – 9 Days
The Cruise begins and ends in Oban which is very accessible by car or train from Glasgow with connecting flights to Europe. We are hosted by the 2 distilleries and we visit at Oban, and Talisker on Skye. We have ample time on our cruise to visit some of the most spectacular anchorages in the world with time to explore ashore. You can enjoy excellent Scottish hospitality with each distillery hosting distillery tours, evening buffet dinners, free bars and dancing to the late hours for the energetic. Classic Malts Cruise – Second Leg
Oban to Lagavulin, Islay and return to Largs. 21.7.09 to 27.7.09. – 7 Days.
This cruise begins in Oban and clients can enjoy a visit to the famous Oban Distillery. Again we are hosted by the distilleries and we have ample time to visit some beautiful locations prior to arriving at the Lagavulin Distillery on Islay where we enjoy distillery tours, tastings, and a luxury buffet in the evening with complimentary bar and ceilidh. Again this cruise offers spectacular scenery and additional sailing experience.
The cost is £490 per person and this is inclusive of all breakfasts, lunches, 4 evening meals, teas/coffees, soft drinks, snacks. Cruise fleece, and cap. Quality wet weather gear is also provided.
The Yacht
“Candi” is a luxury yacht with all modern facilities including full central heating and even a TV/DVD player. Each cabin has fitted sheets and pillows. The yacht is skippered by a commercially endorsed Yachtmaster Instructor and your hostess/First Mate is a fully qualified Yachtmaster Offshore and a gourmet cook. In order to ensure clients comfort aboard we are limiting places to 4/5 clients. The yacht “Candi” has two double cabins in the stern area and a further cabin with two large bunk beds forward. The yacht has two toilets with showers and a large saloon area for guests aboard.
These cruises offer an ideal holiday for families/couples or singles and for those wishing to gain additional sailing experience aboard a quality yacht.
