Sailing Courses in Scotland
Our Sailing Courses in Scotland and RYA Sail Training School in Scotland based at Largs Yacht Haven in the beautiful Firth of Clyde allows you not only to learn to sail in Scotland but cruise in the Firth of Clyde area and beyond. The Royal Yachting Association is renowned world wide and Catima Sailing is a recognized RYA Sail Training Centre in Scotland. Our RYA tuition offers the full range of RYA Sail Training Courses in Scotland and includes RYA Start Yachting Courses, RYA Competent Crew Courses, RYA Day Skipper Courses, RYA Coastal Skipper Courses, and Yachtmaster Preparation for RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Examination. Assessments for International Certificate of Competence can also be conducted. RYA Sail Training Courses in Scotland can also be conducted aboard owners own yachts. Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme
Catima Sailing Ltd has been appointed an authorized activity provider for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme. We are pleased to offer sailing expeditions and training as part of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme. We welcome enquiries from youth groups, local authorities and other organizations who provide the Scheme to young people. Join us for a true adventure.
Catima Sailing Ltd can also offer the "Residential Section" of your Duke of Edinburgh's Award. You could join one of our 5 day Royal Yachting Association Practical Sail Training Courses and learn a new skill in sailing a yacht in the beautiful West Coast of Scotland.
Catima Sailing Ltd are not only Approved Activity Providers but we are also Accredited Trainers and Assessors for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
Our Yachtmaster Instructor is Iain Anderson and our other Skippers are qualified Yachtmasters with Cruising Instructors Certificates and commercial endorsements.Catima Sailing is based at Largs Yacht Haven and Kip Marina and can operate throughout the West Coast of Scotland. Catima Sailing School welcomes enquiries from Yacht Owners who wish to make their yacht available to our Charter Fleet.
